JULIUS PERELI
He is the quiet genius behind all the projects we work on.
Julius Pereli founded Still Water Design many years ago with two partners. Since then, the company has built nearly 1,000 coaching launches—widely regarded as the best in the world. Still Water dominates the low-wake launch market, and Julius is especially proud that all but a handful of those vessels remain in daily use today, each saving an estimated 1–4 gallons of fuel per day compared to the monohull launches they replaced.
In 2011, Julius stepped away from Still Water to co-found Inriver Tank and Boat with his longtime friend, Ken Green. Ken grew up on the water and discovered sailing early—a passion that has stayed with him throughout his life. He was also a high-level rowing competitor, giving him a deep, firsthand understanding of how boats move and what makes them fast.
That combination of experience and engineering insight is central to Inriver’s work. In rowing tanks, success depends on water that moves smoothly and efficiently—and Inriver has dedicated itself to mastering that flow. Ken approaches this craft with the same steady commitment he brings to everything he does, even down to competing in radio-controlled sailboat racing, where precision, curiosity, and play all meet.
Inriver operates out of Concord, Massachusetts, and—despite being a small company—its work and reputation extend across the globe.
