HISTORY

Julius Pereli founded Still Water Design almost 20 years ago with three partners. The company has since built about 1,000 coaching launches, the best in the world. Still Water dominates the low-wake launch world.

Julius is particularly proud that all but a handful of those launches are still in daily use, and also proud of this fact: Still Water launches save 1-4 gallons of fuel per day, compared to the monohull launches they replace. Most launches are used about 100 days/year. This means that every year Still Water launches conserve about 300,000 gallons of gas!

Since around 2006 Still Water partners Jeff Myjak and Russ Cone have focused on launch production, while Julium took on and grew the tank business. To minimize impact on boat production, the tanks were designed to be built largely at customers’ sites; thus the tools and techniques were in place to produce tanks without relying on Still Water’s original Chelsea shop. In 2011, Inriver Tank and Boat became a separate, independent company headquartered in Concord, Massachusetts.
